Dojang Commands (도장 명령어)

Overview

Dojang Commands refer to the standard verbal instructions used during Kuk Sool training to organize practice, signal transitions, and maintain discipline.

These commands are typically given in Korean and are used consistently in class settings to coordinate group activity and reinforce etiquette.

Context

In Kuk Sool training, commands are used to:

  • begin and end practice sequences
  • establish readiness and attention
  • direct movement and transitions
  • reinforce discipline and structure within the training environment

Students are expected to recognize and respond to these commands as part of regular practice.

Language

  • Hangul: 도장 명령어
  • Romanization: Dojang Myeongryeong-eo (commonly simplified as “Dojang Commands”)
  • Naver Dictionary:
